Hi guys…
So it hit me some time ago that We aren’t often remotely aware of the consequences of the little everyday pleasures we seek, find and enjoy and when the inevitable satisfaction or boredom sets in after a while, we happily skip along #OnToTheNextOne
Waste is a disease that has plagued mankind seemingly from post-Eden times. And while sometimes an acute lack of knowledge is responsible, other times we’re just careless and ignorant.
Forgive me, I ramble.
I’m hoping this next piece helps you see things from another point of view. Feel free to let me know what you think afterwards.
Many thanks!

~Guilt Or Innocence~
Bright yellows, reds and subtle greens
Violets, creams, the colours of hopeful dreams
These adorn the wings
Of fluttering Bob the cheerful butterfly
Content with his time in the sunshine
Full of guile-less life, so alive
A truly beautiful being, so delicate, so captivating
Fluttering around, getting nowhere…
Bob’s innocent intelligence uncomprehending,
Wondering why he can behold his beautiful world
But cannot be of it like before
Unsure how long before he can go back to living, free
His world is right here yet so far
Alas, Bob the butterfly is in a glass jar…
He flutters, he falters, he grows still, he dies…
The little child holds the jar
In those cute little chubby hands
The happy, innocent smile on her face fading away
Puzzled, then bored,
She throws the beautiful, colourful and Lifeless Bob the butterfly
Away…
